At this time, only a basic view of search results is available for viewing on mobile devices. Advanced filter features, such as searching by data type, are not yet mobile-enabled and are available only in desktop view. Users are encouraged to use a desktop computer to conduct food item searches.

New information regarding published beta-glucan values in mushrooms On August 28, 2023, Neogen issued a product notification update that the Megazyme beta-glucan assay kit causes an overestimation in samples that contain trehalose because of the inclusion of the enzyme trehalase. This impacts previously published beta-glucan values in mushrooms in Foundation Foods. The existing beta-glucan values for mushrooms will remain in FDC at this time, with an updated note attached to this analysis to explain the likely overestimation.
